PCS Staff Orientation for the New School Year

At 9:30 am on August 16, 2021, PCS Staff Orientation of the 2021-2022 school year was held in the auditorium on the second floor as scheduled. The operational team and the academic team participated in the training, officially opening the prelude to the new school year.
At the beginning of the meeting, Steven Ma, the founder of the school, expressed his gratitude to every Pegasus member online. In the past two years, due to the epidemic, international relations, politics and other factors, the international study has been hammered to some extent, but it did not influence Pegasus members’ beliefs of unity and striving for perfection, who still help every Pegasus student prepare for being admitted into the world universities and realize their dreams.
In his speech, Steven Ma mentioned that he hopes that PCS will become a hundred-year-old school, which cannot be separated from the efforts of every Pegasus member. This year, Pegasus has recruit a lot of new staff and will start a new chapter. He also hopes that Pegasus family will continue to unite and cooperate to help every student succeed.
Ms. Echo Wang , operational director of HQ and Qingdao Campus, introduced the school profile, cultural concept and members of the operational team. As time goes by, Pegasus team has become more perfect and powerful, and each department is very united. We hope that the operational team and the academic team will cooperate more smoothly, give full play to their greatest functions and realize the students' dreams and Pegasus ideal.

Through his understanding of Chinese education and Pegasus, the academic principal Steven Szatynski shared his feelings after he came to Pegasus: as a member of the academic team, he must customize a learning plan for each student to help them master their learning skills and improve their grades, enter a dream university and find goals in life. Finally, each academic teacher made a brief introduction. Some teachers were humorous, some were calm and mature, but they all have rich teaching experience and a wide range of hobbies.
The training includes comprehensive communication between the academic team and the operational team, job responsibilities of each department, work rules, system process learning, scenario simulation and role exchange with formal and serious meetings and relaxing and pleasant group building activities.
All the faculty and staff studied the staff manual, financial system, purchase system, personnel system, the process of recruiting new students, etc., who can faster learn about the process and be familiar with the school's overall system and the international education market.

Under the organization of Principal steven szatynski, the academic team communicated with teachers about "Pegasus academic expectations" from school curriculum, classroom management and academic performance and universal academic standards and requirements. Academic Principal Szatynski and Owen, the assistant to headmaster, personally demonstrated how to better deal with the relationship between teachers and students and solve students' problems by means of situational simulation.
In order to let parents learn about students' study and life in real time, the school uses an electronic management system. Through the training, the new teacher quickly mastered the method of use. This year, subject teachers, program leaders and dorm supervisors will use the system more efficiently through the real-time update of performance and status, so that parents and students themselves can learn about their behaviors and grades in a timely manner to improve their learning efficiency.
The academic team and the student management department are two important departments who work for students. They should cooperate in real time and cooperate together to seamlessly connect with all aspects of students' learning, life and activities, solve the problems of the student in time, and communicate well with parents. In this round of training, through the questionnaire and playing games , the teachers can get to know each other in a short time, establish a tacit understanding, and shorten the distance between each other.
The repeated COVID-19 made us realize that health is the foundation of everything. The school invited safety and health education experts and school nurse Cherry Huang to give a lecture on health prevention, first aid (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, artificial respiratory, etc.), common occupational disease prevention and treatment and epidemic protection, pay attention to the development of lifestyle, personal protection and campus sterilization to be fully ready for the start of school!
The one-week training makes every faculty and staff prepared physically and mentally for the start of school, feel the school culture, be clear about the work requirements, enhance the understanding between colleagues, strengthen work confidence and sense of cooperation! All the Pegasus faculty and staff are ready to welcome students home!
